Isabella's Story
Isabella approached CMME and spoke with experienced Mortgage Consultant, Yda. Isabella decided to contact CMME as she needed advice around a shared ownership property. Isabella currently owned 40% of her home and she wanted to increase her share of the property. Due to her income, Isabella was not able to progress up to 100% ownership but we were able to consider 70% ownership. As a result, we were able to make this affordable. The lender we approached in this instance agreed to extend the term up to the age of 75 because Isabella could prove that she was paying into a pension. Yda was able to obtain Isabella the mortgage offer she needed to step up to 70% ownership in time for her solicitors to complete within the 3-month deadline that the Housing Association had set.
